  • Ben Armstrong, known as BitBoy Crypto, faced controversy and was ousted from his company.
  • He later filed a lawsuit against former colleagues over alleged threats, racketeering, and the contentious loss of a Lamborghini.
  • The BitBoy Crypto YouTube channel has since been rebranded to “Discover Crypto.”
  • However, the channel faces declining viewership without Ben Armstrong, its original frontman.

What Happened to BitBoy?

BitBoy Crypto was a popular YouTube channel started by Ben Armstrong, who rose to fame in the crypto community but faced controversy after being ousted from his company due to allegations of substance and financial abuse. The situation escalated when Armstrong confronted an ex-colleague at their home, leading to a live-streamed altercation and his subsequent arrest by police.

A New Lawsuit

According to a report by DeCrypt, Armstrong has initiated another lawsuit against former colleagues and affiliates for the alleged unlawful theft of a Lamborghini and engaging in what he claims to be racketeering, as per statements from Armstrong, his legal team, and documents reviewed by the crypto news site.

The information reveals that Armstrong has filed a lawsuit in Cobb County, Georgia against six individuals associated with Hit Network, including its CEO and CFO, a CEO from Voomio, and three others involved with the company.

The lawsuit alleges that Carlos Diaz made multiple verbal threats against him, claimed ties to organised crime, and threatened Armstrong’s life, demanding US $3.2 million (AU $4.9 million) and a public apology after Armstrong’s initial lawsuit against the Shedds and Hit Network. The suit also contends that Diaz coerced Armstrong into transferring the title of his Lamborghini, which was then given to Diaz by the Hit Network defendants. Armstrong asserts he is the rightful owner and that Diaz has refused to return the vehicle.

Many BitBoy fans are of course not surprised that Armstrong continues his fight, with one user on X saying, “Ben does not let s**t go.”

To which Armstrong responded:

BitBoy Crypto Channel Renamed

Recently HIT Network announced the transformation of BitBoy Crypto into “Discover Crypto,” with a mix of current and new talent leading the rebranded YouTube channel. Post Ben Armstrong’s departure, the channel aims to evolve with the maturing crypto industry and plans to deliver diverse content, including live shows, documentaries, and vlogs, to its subscribers. TJ Shedd, the current CEO, is optimistic about 2024 being a pivotal year for Bitcoin and crypto adoption.

Nevertheless, the channel is losing subscribers and views, which can be attributed to Ben Armstrong who was the face and soul of BitBoy Crypto, despite all the challenges.
