Crypto Traders Hit With $1B in Liquidations Amid Market Flash Crash

Crypto traders experienced over $1.04 billion in liquidations within 24 hours due to extreme market volatility. Bitcoin’s price dropped from $27,600 to $25,600 and then rebounded to $26,500, causing significant losses for long position traders. OKX and Binance were the exchanges with the highest liquidations, totaling $308 million and $189 million respectively.
