  • Donald Trump has launched a sale of 100,000 collectible cards, featuring his Fulton County arrest mugshot and suit pieces.
  • The special offer includes a Mar-a-Lago dinner invitation and exclusive NFTs for large purchases made with crypto.
  • Earlier this year, Trump pleaded ‘not guilty’ to 13 felony charges for attempting to overturn the 2020 presidential election.
  • Trump’s first NFT venture quickly sold out, earning US $4.46 million, but the release of a second series led to a decrease in the value of the initial series.

A Nod to Past Troubles

Donald Trump has just launched a sale of 100,000 collectible cards on CollectTrumpCards.com, priced at USD $99 each (AUD $151). Purchasers of 47 or more cards in one transaction will receive 2,024 limited edition physical cards, each featuring Trump’s Fulton County arrest mugshot, a fragment of the suit he wore then, and 25 will be autographed.

It was a great suit, believe me—a really good suit. It’s all cut up, and you’re gonna get a piece of it.

These cards also include an invitation to dine with Trump at Mar-a-Lago. Additionally, the first 200 buyers of 100 cards with cryptocurrency get a unique NFT, two cocktail reception tickets at Mar-a-Lago, a second physical card with suit and tie pieces, and two “Commemorative Dinner” cards.

Trumps Real Life Worries

In August, former President Trump was indicted on 13 felony charges related to attempts to overturn his 2020 election loss in Georgia and was booked and photographed at Fulton County Jail in Atlanta. Trump denied any wrongdoing and pleaded not guilty to all charges including solicitation of violation of oath by a public officer and racketeering.

In comments made about the NFT sales, Trump could not help but boast about himself, something many may remember from his time in office.

I wish I looked as good as I do on these cards, that I can tell you, they give me muscles where — believe me — I don’t have them.

Previous NFT Ventures

Trump’s foray into NFT sales has had mixed results. His first NFT venture last year sold out in about half a day, generating estimated earnings between USD $100,000 (AUD $152,000) and USD $1 million (AUD $1.52 million). The initial series, released on December 14, comprised 45,000 NFTs priced at $99 each, selling out by the next Friday and earning $4.46 million (AUD $6.81 million).

These NFTs, later traded on OpenSea, started at USD $1,200 (AUD $1,831). Trump released a second series at $99 per NFT, which sold out quickly. However, this launch caused the value of the December collection to drop from 0.40 ETH to 0.139 ETH, roughly USD $293 (AUD $447).
