After facing initial challenges during its launch last week, Shibarium, the Layer-2 network associated with the Shiba Inu project, is gearing up for a relaunch.
The platform is set to introduce a new monitoring system and additional safeguards to manage high levels of traffic effectively.
In a recent blog post, Shytoshi Kusama, the pseudonymous developer behind Shiba Inu, stated that after two days of testing and parameter adjustments, Shibarium is now in an enhanced and optimized state. Kusama added that the network is “almost ready to reopen to the public.”
The platform recently underwent an extensive testing period, which saw a reported 21 million users.
Shibarium’s launch, however, recently encountered difficulties, such as a temporary suspension of transactions because of server overload, which left funds locked on the Ethereum bridge.
Despite these setbacks, the developers remain committed to refining the network. Additional validators are set to join, and the team plans to implement the ShibPaper, a comprehensive blueprint for the Shiba Inu project’s decentralized governance and management.
Shibarium aims to tackle scalability challenges within the Ethereum network and establish itself as a significant contender in the blockchain space, extending beyond its origins as a meme coin.
According to CoinMarketCap data, SHIB is up 2.9% over the past 24 hours, although it has traded down by 18.9% over the past week, following the wider market drop.
