Florida Athletics has signed a multi-year partnership with Ripple, bringing XRP branding to the University of Florida starting with the 2026 football season. The XRP logo will feature prominently on the field at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium, as well as on digital platforms and event signage, giving the crypto asset exposure to one of the biggest fanbases in US college sport.

More Than Just Branding

The deal also includes a longer-term education push, with Ripple supporting financial and technology education programmes for Florida’s student-athletes and wider campus community. The initiative will cover both traditional finance and digital assets, as Ripple looks to build mainstream awareness of XRP and blockchain technology. Florida athletics director Scott Stricklin said the partnership brings together two organisations focused on innovation, while Ripple described XRP as a fast and low-cost way to move money globally.

Ripple has established itself as an innovative leader in financial technology, and we’re excited to welcome XRP to Gator Nation. This partnership brings together two organizations that think boldly about the future, and we look forward to introducing XRP to our fans.

The fifth-largest crypto by market cap was trading slightly down over the past 24 hours, at US$1.40 (AU$1.94). This was in line with a general decline in the market, as Bitcoin and Ethereum also took losses.

Ripple has been busy expanding its partnerships. Just recently we reported that Ripple and Korean Jeonbuk Bank would use the Ripple Payments system for cross-border business payments. The deal comes after partnerships with other Korean financial heavyweights, such as Kyobo Life Insurance and internet bank Kbank.
