News Explorer — Tether Ends Support for Omni, Kusama, and Bitcoin Cash USDT Transfers

Tether, the largest stablecoin issuer, has announced that it will no longer support Omni, Kusama, and Bitcoin Cash for USDT transfers. This decision comes as the Omni Layer faced challenges due to the lack of popular tokens and the availability of USDT on other blockchains. Tether will cease issuing USDT on these platforms from August 17, but redemptions will continue for the next 12 months.
