Blockchain superstar Tony G to head the Lympo Blockchain for Sports Foundation
Melbourne, 10 January 2018: Blockchain health and wellness ecosystem Lympo1 has announced poker player, politician and philanthropist Antanas Guoga (aka Tony G) as the head of its Blockchain for Sports Foundation.
Mr Guoga has advised on successful Blockchain projects including the world’s largest digital bank, Bankera, and digital poker platform CoinPoker.
“Tony G is a well-known philanthropist and social entrepreneur in the crypto community. He has been instrumental in advancing Blockchain technology across the world and we are delighted to have him join the Lympo project,” said Lympo CEO and founder Ada Jonuse.
Lympo is a game-changing sports and wellness ecosystem that will track workout data via smartphones and wearables, rewarding users with Lympo tokens for hitting fitness and mindfulness targets. Tokens can then be used to pay for health products and services.
As an extension of the app, the Lympo for Sports Foundation will be a mechanism to provide funding for sporting events and initiatives to promote healthy living.
“As the head of the foundation, Tony G will bring a wealth of experience in sports promotion. He’s a huge sports fan and has been a major sponsor of the Lithuanian basketball team as well as the national rowing team,” said Ms Jonuse.
The appointment of Tony G follows the announcement last month of fitness trainer and crypto millionaire Jordan Travers as an ambassador for the foundation.
“We are building a network of famous athletes, sporting leaders and crypto enthusiasts to help drive this concept forward. We have a vision for Lympo which is to improve the health and well-being of people around the world by providing tangible incentives via the Blockchain platform,” said Ms Jonuse.
The Lympo digital health and wellbeing wallet will reward users on the ecosystem with LYM tokens for their healthy lifestyle achievements, in exchange for their health data from their smartphones and wearable devises.
“The Lympo Blockchain platform will be able to encrypt individual data, which is of value to a raft of health-related companies. It’s the next evolution in the lucrative market for digital fitness devices,” said Ms Jonuse.
The Lympo token pre-sale begins on January 23. More information can be found at https://lympo.io/
